Massimiliano Tonelli nasce nel 1978. È laureato in Scienze della Comunicazione

all’Università di Siena, dal 1999 al 2011 è stato direttore della piattaforma editoriale
cartacea e web “Exibart”. Attualmente è direttore editoriale di Artribune, da lui fondato
nel 2011, e direttore editoriale di Gambero Rosso.
Ha moderato e preso parte come relatore a numerosi convegni, giurie e seminari; ha
tenuto docenze presso centri di formazione superiore tra i quali l’Istituto Europeo di
Design, l’Università Roma Tor Vergata, la Fondazione Garrone di Genova, la Link
Campus University e l’Università La Sapienza di Roma. E’ stato docente presso il Master
of Art della Luiss e presso il Master in comunicazione e giornalismo enogastronomico
del Gambero Rosso ed è professore a contratto allo Iulm di Milano dove insegna editoria
della cultura.
Ha collaborato con numerose testate tra cui Radio24-Il Sole24 Ore, Time Out, Formiche,
Dispensa. Suoi testi sono apparsi in diversi cataloghi d’arte contemporanea e saggi di
arte, urbanistica e territorio inclusi i rapporti annuali Civita e Symbola. Dal 2018 è
membro del Comitato Scientifico del Festival di Giornalismo Culturale. Nel 2018 è stato
premiato come Giornalista Culturale dell’Anno al Premio Ischia.

Massimiliano Tonelli was born in 1978. He graduated in Communication Sciences
at the University of Siena, from 1999 to 2011 he was director of the editorial platform
paper and web “Exibart”. He is currently the editorial director of Artribune, which he founded.
in 2011, and editorial director of Gambero Rosso.
He has moderated and participated as a speaker at numerous conferences, juries and seminars; has
held lectures at centers of higher education including the European Institute of
Design, the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the Garrone Foundation of Genoa, the Link
Campus University and La Sapienza University of Rome. He has been professor at the Master
of Art of Luiss and at the Master in communication and food and wine journalism
of Gambero Rosso and is a contract professor at the Iulm in Milan where he teaches publishing
of culture.
He has collaborated with numerous newspapers including Radio24-Il Sole24 Ore, Time Out, Formiche,
Pantry. His texts have appeared in several contemporary art catalogs and essays by
art, urban planning and territory including the annual reports Civita and Symbola. Since 2018 is
member of the Scientific Committee of the Festival of Cultural Journalism. In 2018 he was
awarded as Cultural Journalist of the Year at the Ischia Prize.
