Il nome segreto
Quante donne può essere una donna? Quanti nomi può avere? E quante vite? Eva ha dodici anni quando la sorella minore Sara muore annegata. In seguito, i genitori di Eva cancellano ogni traccia della sua esistenza – non ne pronunceranno mai più nemmeno il nome – e per reazione Eva passa dal mutismo al rifiuto di mangiare. Adolescente, grazie a un progetto scolastico, parte inaspettatamente per Cardiff, da cui tornerà a casa solo quindici anni dopo, trentenne, con il preciso scopo di raccogliere informazioni sulla sorella e ricostruirne così l’esistenza. In questi quindici anni, Eva ha dimenticato se stessa, diventando Nicky a Cardiff, Blu a Parigi, Viola a Berlino, Dora a Palermo, Lili a Bologna, Nives a Barcellona… In ogni città in cui approda è una donna diversa, ma si porta dietro ogni volta l’intero condominio di personaggi che la abitano mentre tenta di fuggire la sua Idra. A Berlino incontrerà Lupo, figlio di una comunità di hippie. Anche Lupo è un fuggitivo: ha lasciato la sua comunità, i genitori e anche ogni forma di esistenza ordinaria ed è diventato un circense. Lupo introdurrà Eva nella “famiglia” di cui è fatto il suo circo, tracciando per Eva un nuovo percorso in fondo al quale potrà forse scoprire il suo vero nome, il nome segreto. La Fonte>>
Giacinto Di Pietrantonio
Giacinto Di Pietrantonio Direzione della GAMeC (“ Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo”). Docente di Storia dell’Arte presso l’Accademia di Brera, ha ricoperto il ruolo di Redattore Capo prima e Vicedirettore poi per Flash Art Italia dal 1986 al 1992.
Olga Gambari
Olga Gambari si occupa di arte come curatrice indipendente, critica e giornalista. Collabora con «la Repubblica» e «Il Giornale dell’Arte». È stata direttrice artistica di The Others Art Fair, del festival internazionale di arte indipendente Nesxt e direttrice responsabile del progetto editoriale artesera.it. Nel 2021 ha diretto Paratissima. Insegna Storia dell’arte contemporanea e Fenomenologia delle arti contemporanee allo Ied – Istituto Europeo di Design. Ha curato mostre e progetti artistici multidisciplinari.
Il nome segreto è il suo esordio nella narrativa.

“The Secret Name”
How many women can a woman be? How many names can she have? And how many lives? Eva is twelve years old when her younger sister Sara dies by drowning. Afterwards, Eva’s parents erase all traces of her existence-they will never utter even her name again-and in reaction Eva goes from mutism to refusing to eat. As a teenager, thanks to a school project, she unexpectedly leaves for Cardiff, from which she will return home only fifteen years later, in her thirties, with the specific purpose of gathering information about her sister and thus reconstructing her existence. In these fifteen years, Eva has forgotten herself, becoming Nicky in Cardiff, Blu in Paris, Viola in Berlin, Dora in Palermo, Lili in Bologna, Nives in Barcelona… In each city she lands in, she is a different woman, but each time she brings with her the entire condominium of characters who inhabit it as she tries to escape her Hydra. In Berlin she meets Wolf, the son of a hippie community. Wolf is also a fugitive: he has left his community, his parents, and even all forms of ordinary existence and has become a circus performer. Wolf will introduce Eva to the “family” of which his circus is made, charting a new path for Eva at the bottom of which she may perhaps discover her real name, the secret name. The source>>
Giacinto Di Pietrantonio
Giacinto Di Pietrantonio Direction of GAMeC (“Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bergamo”). Professor of Art History at the Brera Academy, he held the role of Chief Editor first and then Deputy Director for Flash Art Italia since 1986 to 1992.
Olga Gambari
Olga Gambari deals with art as an independent curator, critic and journalist. She collaborates with “la Repubblica” and “Il Giornale dell’Arte.” She has been the artistic director of The Others Art Fair, the international independent art festival Nesxt, and director in charge of the artesera.it publishing project. In 2021 she directed Paratissima. She teaches History of Contemporary Art and Phenomenology of Contemporary Arts at Ied – European Institute of Design. He has curated exhibitions and multidisciplinary art projects.
The Secret Name is his fiction debut.
